Because we are a synagogue full of families, we believe that family activities and childcare are an essential part of synagogue life.

On Shabbat, we offer different programs geared to a variety of ages. Every week, we have a baby-sitter for our youngest children. Once a month, our rabbi conducts a fun family service -- a short learning service full of music and stories, geared for children and parents of all ages. Twice a month we have children's services -- special shorter services for kids ages 5-10, led by an experienced service leader. Once a month, we hold a special junior congregation so children ages 8-12 can practice their service skills. All these offerings are followed by a special children's kiddush.

On the High Holy Days, we offer a wide range of children's programs and activities. On the first day of Rosh HaShana and on Yom Kippur, we have activities for toddlers ages 2-4 and children ages 5-8, as well as special services for children 8 and over.

On the second day of Rosh HaShana, we conduct a special family service open to members and, for a nominal fee, non-members. The family service includes singing, storytelling, creative dramatics, and audience participation.
