Bonim B’Yachad

Bonim B’Yachad: Building Jewish Life Together is West End Synagogue's exciting educational initiative begun last year that is all about living and enjoying Judaism.  Bonim B'Yachad integrates study, prayer, and socializing to encourage and support the development of an intergenerational, intellectually challenging, and spiritually vibrant community that can nurture and transmit Jewish living and learning.

In the coming year (2008), there will be three programs:

  1. An intergenerational Tikkun Olam Holiday program for all adults, teens, and children to pray, study, and work on social action projects related to the themes of four holidays: Thanksgiving, Tu B'Shevat, Pesah and Yom Ha'atzmaut

  1. A Shabbat morning program for 5th and 6th graders and their parents that will meet once a month

  1. A Shabbat morning program for 3rd and 4th graders and their parents will meet once each month (not on the same Shabbat as the 5th and 6th graders) beginning on January 12th.

These programs are supported this year by a grant from the Legacy Heritage Foundation's Innovation Project.

REMEMBER, Bonim B'Yachad is not for children only!
