"Teach a child according to his or her way" (Proverbs 22:6).
This quote from the book of Proverbs has been my inspiration throughout my career as a Judaic Studies educator.

I was born in Germany and grew up in Israel from the age of one to the age of sixteen. My family and I emigrated from Israel to the United States in my senior year of high school. I graduated from Lincoln High School in Brooklyn and continued my education at Brooklyn College , where I majored in Psychology and Foreign Languages with a minor in Secondary Education. In addition, I graduated from the Teachers' Institute of Yeshiva University where I majored in Jewish Education, Hebrew literature, and Bible Studies. I am licensed by the New York City Department of Education, and by the New York Board of Jewish Education.

I taught Hebrew School for eleven years, and in 1981, I joined the staff of the Solomon Schechter Day School of Essex and Union , where I had taught until June 2008. For the past three years I was also the co principal of the Hebrew School at congregation B'nai Jeshurun in Staten Island .

I have been married to my husband Charles for forty years. We have two children, Ronnie and Jeffrey and four adorable granddaughters.

I am looking forward to this new adventure in my life. We will be moving to Manhattan and I am excited about teaching at the West End Synagogue, where I will continue to "teach my students according to their way".
