Mordechai and Esther Life in Peril Duet - sung to Who Knows Where The Time Goes?
Ken Klein

Esther:
The fateful day is near, have we been forsaken?
You've come to me, we've nowhere else to go
Our simple lives, events have overtaken
We're running out of time

I once believed in a God who sure protects us
A covenant on which we could rely
But now the darkness looms and all the world suspects us
Will help appear this time?

Who knows what will save us?
Who knows what will save us?

Mordechai:
We stand alone, a small, beleaguered nation
Yet have no fear, I know that God is near
Perhaps we're called upon to bring our own salvation
I say we'll find the time

Mordechai & Esther:
And so our course is fixed, though none knows where it leads us
We didn't ask for a place on hist'ry's stage
But still we'll play our parts, we know our people needs us
Perhaps this is our time

Who knows what will save us?
Who knows what will save us?
