Haman's Rap Song - sung to an improvised rap background
Ken Klein
Well, things are looking bad
And my brain is saying, Ouch!
No denyin' that I'm lyin'
Here with Esther on the couch
But, King, I gotta tell ya
That I'm just misunderstood
You're so royal, I'm so loyal
The embodiment of good
Sure it looks like I took liberties
With Esther, royal wench,
But I wouldn't, nay, I couldn't
'Cause deep down I'm such a mensch
Woe is me! Alas, alack! And an oy-yoy-yoy!
Feelin' queasy, it ain't easy
yeah, it's tough to be a goy!
When I pushed the date of Purim
Said "Be fearful of the stranger!"
Cuz' we dare not wait or negotiate
This clear and present danger!"
Attack ere they unleash on us
Their W -M - D
And even if we never find 'em,
Well, then, I guess the jokes on me!
Thought we'd eliminate the Jews
That it'd be a piece o' cake
Now it turns out Esther's Jewish
Can't a good guy catch a break
Woe is me! Alas, alack! And an oy-yoy- yoy!
Feelin' bleak, I'm up the creek
you know it's tough to be a goy!
My performance as Prime Minister
Left much be desired
But this coming on to Esther --
Does it really mean I'm fired?
OK, let's say you got me
Make a deal and I'll deliver
All my friends, the whole mishpachah
Yeah, I'll sell them down the river
Oh! King, please have rachmanohs
Cause the fault's not mine alone
It's genetics -- from Amalek
Babe, I'm bad right to the bone!
Woe is me! Alas, alack! And an oy-yoy- yoy!
In contempt! I'm all ferklempt!
It sure is tough to be a goy!
