Fate's abused me!
All my pleading was seen
As a pass at the queen

Yikes! The gallows! Oh dear!
What an ending!

Did I make a mistake?
Or just not catch a break
Was it not me?
Was it Mordy or Esther
(Gee! I thought I impressed her)
That got me?
Was it just my impression
Divine intercession's
Descending?
Still I'll shed not a tear
Yikes! The gallows! Oh dear!
What an ending!

Still I'll go down in glory
The whole Purim story's
About me!
No Haman, they're snorin'
The whole tale is borin'
Without me!
If I hadn't been willin'
To be such a villain,
I'm contending
No hamantashen today
Yikes! The gallows, Oy veh!
