Forced Out:  Experiencing Loss of Homes and Country

As we begin Judaism’s day of communal mourning, we invite you to join us for our joint West End/SAJ service including readings and other materials focused on the experience of being forced from home and exiled from country.

At West End Synagogue

Pride Shabbat!

Join us for a clergy and lay-led service featuring many of our LGBTQ+ members' writings, musical gifts, leyning, reconstructed liturgy, and more! A festive kiddush will follow and all are welcome to celebrate!

Ha Matmid (ZOOM only)

We study a broad range of topics, which have included the structure and prayers of services, the Jewish holiday cycle, and how a Torah scroll is created. We've held workshops to help people get more out of the High Holy Days. Some people have studied with us for years; others drop in when they can. Next we'll look at... what? Tell us what you've always wanted to know more about!  All are invited to join the discussion.  Led by Susan Schorr.
