Monthly, third Monday of each month. Discussions are text-based using materials from both ours and other spiritual traditions, as well as insights from modern authors, pop culture and more. Led by Susan Schorr.

Forced Out: Experiencing Loss of Homes and Country
As we begin Judaism’s day of communal mourning, we invite you to join us for our joint West End/SAJ service including readings and other materials focused on the experience of being forced from home and exiled from country.

An afternoon of three Jewish short stories from India and from the Iranian-American community in New York City, read aloud by West End congregants, followed by a chance for questions and comments.
Please join us for our commemoration of Yom HaShoah. We will hear from our member Grace Rapkin about the story of her mother— the only member of her family to survive the Holocaust, and we will mourn the immeasurable loss of life and community with music from our members and reflections from our 7th graders.
We study a broad range of topics, which have included the structure and prayers of services, the Jewish holiday cycle, and how a Torah scroll is created. We've held workshops to help people get more out of the High Holy Days. Some people have studied with us for years; others drop in when they can. Next we'll look at... what?
